1B, female as always. B-C+B, and then III-E, to create nerdy girl extraordinaire. And for smut: 5. It probably will happen, but not constantly.

Why not:

Gender:
B.) Female.

Strengths:
B.) Dexterity. Then C.) Mental.

Background:
C.) Thieve's guild foundling.

Smut Level:
5-6. Doesn't have to be certain, but we always seem to CYOA ourselves into a whore anyway. Also, tentacles regardless of smut level. :p

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

You are Cecilia, a girl 18 years of age who lives in the Port City that goes by the name of Darlent City. On the edge of the Balmo Ocean, it is a large city filled with trade and life. People here enjoy life, and a steady business of all sorts goes on. People travel through the city every day, enjoying the sights and sounds, before moving on to continue their travels, or staying to enjoy the monthly festivals.

You were raised by the guild of scholars, living your life studying and learning about the world. Your father was a wealthy travelling merchant, and left you there with his love, as he did not wish for you to face the rigors and dangers of travel. You never met your mother, it is assumed she died in childbirth, and your father has never discussed the topic. You took interest once in the alchemy, reading and learning quite a lot about it. You found early in life you were well suited to life as a scholar, with a good intelligence and moderately friendly demeanor, and though your body was a bit frail, you are far from clumsy.

Shortly after your 18th birthday, you receive a letter, opening it to find it from your father. It seems he has fallen ill, and wishes to see you. The letter says he is in the care of some villagers who live south of the forest. You know of the town, as you've read about it in your studies, it is a town by the name of Gertal, and is known to be a farming village. You have recently heard a rumor about the place though, but can't quite remember it, you know that something wasn't quite right there.

To arrive there, you'd have to travel through the Forlorn Forest, a place known to be infested with monsters. In your studies, you have discovered quite a few interesting things about the monsters of the world, and are quite aware that there are some of them that very much like to prey on females like yourself. You blush a little at the thoughts as you consider going through the forest, a little afraid of what might happen.

You consider though that it would be good to see your father again, as it had been a long time since he visited you, and you miss him. Even though he left you here, you are grateful to him because of what you have learned, and know that he loves you, even if had to travel. You gather up your professions and talk to Head Scholar, who grants you permission to go on your journey, saying you are always welcome here.

===Equipment===
Scholar's Travelling Robe - A nice traveling robe, the female version has a lower cut that the male one, making it fashionable as well. It contains leggings to keep your legs warm, and a nice set of boots as well.
Book Satchel - To carry books, can carry up to ten heavy books with ease, allowing even someone weak to carry them around
Collection of Books - You have 5 books that you are carrying with you on your trip. You own a vast collection, and these are some of your favorites, you are leaving the rest with the guild for safe keeping. You may vote on the subject and contents of these books.
Pouch - A pouch for carrying things in.
400 Gold - A decent amount of money, enough for a normal person to live a simple life on for perhaps a year, if they were quite frugal, this is partially wages that you have earned as a scholar, and partially money left by your father as a gift and fund. You have more, but have decided to leave it at the guild for safe keeping at this time.

Sample Options
>Go Shopping
>>Where?
>Leave Town
>>Where to?
>Listen for Rumors
>>How?
Don't feel limited by this.

World Map Information Updated
1) Misty Mountains - It is filled with caves, excellent place for adventure. It is rumored that there is a path that can get you west of the mountains through the caves, though no one has found it.
2) Haunted Mansion on Island - There is a century old mansion on the island north of Darlent City, obviously you'd have to rent a ride on a boat to get there, though most people avoid the place. It could be interesting to see what's there
3) Port City - Darlent City - This is your hometown, where you grew up. You have friends here, as well as memories. Though you lived most of your life inside, absorbed in a book.
4) Old Castle Ruins - These ruins are located east of Darlent city. A long time ago, this was a fortress that was a major battle point in a war, it held off an army who thought it was an important location, giving their enemies time to lead a counterstrike.
5) Forlorn Forest - Travel is dangerous through this forest as monsters have recently begun to reclaim it. It used to be popular for logging, as there are lots of good trees. There are still some logging camps, but they are mostly on the outskirts, close to Darlent City, where the monsters are less frequent.
6) Farming Village - Gertal Village - A small farming town, nothing out of the ordinary. You think you heard a rumor about here before, but can't quite remember it.

Edit: Bonus Vote - Vote on the how Cecilia looks! - If you have a picture you think would fit, certainly post a link.

Edit 2: The Smut level is currently set to 5.5

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

Lets go shopping in the port town. Maybe for a knife or something to protect herself in the forest.

Also Cecilia looks great so far.

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

We should certainly go into town. We need either a weapon that we might conceivable defend ourselves with, or someone going in the same direction who knows how to use a weapon.

(Edit: Yea, tass is right. "Staff" is what I was going for as something an untrained person could at least marginally use. Blades without lessons is a bad idea.)

Books: it would be nice if one of the books we choose to bring was on the local flora and fauna. I mean, that would only make sense.

Appearance: if we're going to make a librarian in a smutty story, then lets make a sexy librarian.

Pretty much this. I'd go with a stick for self defense, in the classical librarian self defense fashion.

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

I concur with two and Tass. I'd personally say think along the lines of Yomiko Readman or the sisters from ROD. Or like Mizhuo Kazami from Onegai Teacher.
Something like that. And I'd also say somethin like a survival handbook and maybe a magic tome or something for the other two books to go with the local animal and plantlife book previously suggested.

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

Cecelia sounds like she would probably know a thing or two about what she is likely to meet if she has studied alchemy; does she know any monster-parts that are used in various experiments? Teeth, claws, blood... other?

Given her general level of frailty, she should probably go into town and do the following:

-Purchase a walking stick aka staff -- something to make the walk more comfortable if it comes to that.

-Look for a caravan or other group similar to the one her merchant father travelled with, if applicable. If monsters are a common theme, it begs to reason that people travel in groups through dangerous places.

-Barring a group to travel with, she could hire someone as a guide who could double as protection.

Running headlong into the woods to visit her father would be foolhardy, even to a cloistered young woman. Does she have any friends who she can ask to travel with her in town? Or anyone else who has an investment in her father's health who could make the trip with her?

As for looks: I'd vote brunette, or if we're allowed to go outside the usual pool of caucasian/anime-asian types, someone with darker skin and darker hair. :3

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

We should go get a knife or something. A stick's cool and all, but if we want an effective weapon we'll need something for more than just clonking people - or rapist goblinspiderwolves, or whatever it is we'll be running into in the forest.

Get ye knife and ye sturdy walking stick. We could even make the stick ourselves, by hacking off a nice branch someplace. ...With our knife.

A guide and/or some guards might be nice. Don't suppose there's a caravan heading that way we could tag along with? Otherwise, we might look for hireling dudes, though that'd be a risk in and of itself - buncha rough dudes you don't know that stab people for money, and our young-and-probably-unusually-attractive selves out in the woods. You know, stuff like that.

~is/was dicking around in dressup games trying to make brown-skin scholar~
(EDIT: Nope, not working. Seems these games cannot into robes that are also low cut.

I vote this, anyway. We are totally younger than we look. Or Anthy-esque, if we wanna go dark skinned.)

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

Mini-Update

Books - There are no magic books. There are books on the history of magic, but magic is not in use today. Not in known use, that is.
Flora and Fauna of the Forlorn Forest
Survival Guide - Living off the land
Creatures of the World

Alchemical Knowledge
Cecilia's Alchemical knowledge is mostly on simple things, such as salves. She never took a major study in it, and has never practiced it. She only really knows the properties of some plants, and other simple things. She does however have a book that acts as a reference guide on many things and their properties in alchemy, though it doesn't have any recipes. However, she hasn't gotten the chance to read it yet.

Friends/Caravans
This information will be provided in the update proper tonight.

Re: Bitbot's CYOA (Details (Possibly) Inside)

I agree that this is quite nice, even if magic isn't in practice, currently. Perhaps it's a pointing stick rather than a wand. XD

Does Cecilia know what her father is suffering from? Can she cross-reference with her survival guide and her flora/fauna book?

(Can she poke through the latter book and the Creatures of the World so that we can get a better idea about what she's blushing in fright (and perhaps in hope!) over? :D)
